Ingredients

2 ½ cups filtered water

1 teaspoon Ginger powder

¾ teaspoon Cinnamon powder

¼ teaspoon Black pepper powder

1 Tablespoon honey (optional sweetener)

Preparation

Place the spices in a container with a tight fitting lid like a Mason jar

Bring the water to a boil

Pour the boiling water over the spices and cover the container

Let the spices steep for 10 minutes

Strain the spices with a sieve or coffee filter

Serve the tea hot in mugs

Sweeten with honey (optional)

Tips

1. Never use aluminum vessels to prepare herbal teas. Use stainless steel or glass items.

2. You can steep the herbs and spices for 30 minutes and make a stronger infusion. This can be served with ice as an iced tea.
